TYSKIE

About the project

Another in the series of adventures of Patron and Mazur, deserters from the Austro-Hungarian army. At a beer festival in a Bavarian village, they stop time to savor longer the taste of Tyskie beer, which won the Grand Prix at the prestigious beer festival in Munich.

Challenge

We designed and built a movie decoration that is a representation of traditional Bavaria, along with period-embedded elements of small architecture. We created from scratch the market square of the Bavarian town of 1916 – the facades of the townhouses were recreated, the street that allows the passage of a special car, the so-called “Bavarian car”. Tysonettes and even cobblestones. The facade and interior of the clock tower with a working mechanism and clock face were built. The actors and extras (more than 70 in all) were dressed in original Bavarian period costumes. All the scenery was built in a specially prepared huge warehouse – standard shooting studios could not accommodate such a huge set along with the necessary technical facilities. Construction lasted 2 weeks, with more than 40 people working on it min. Three specialists in patination of scenic elements.
